Senior Scheduler

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and lead all scheduling related items for a large scale transportation program
  • Provide executive level scheduling updates and recommendations
  • Provide overall quality assurance and independent third party analysis pertaining to scheduling for all design and construction contracts
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss status of overall program schedule, scheduling conflicts, and recommendations for scheduling improvements
  • Integrate scheduling elements such as land acquisition, utilities, design and construction into a singular schedule
  • Coordinate any scheduling issues with affected entities
  • Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferred)
  • Professional Engineer license in the state of Illinois (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years scheduling experience within the transportation industry
  • Strong understanding of transportation construction practices, procedures and methods of construction
  • Accomplished in using the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling technique
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Primavera P6
  • Ability to analyze scheduling problems and provide solutions in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including a positive and professional attitude

Resident Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Installation of roads, bridges, sewer, water, and utilities
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff on progress and problems of projects
  • Manage multiple activities related to roadway construction, including survey layout, construction inspection, documentation, preparation of pay estimates, and resolution of design/field issues
  • Attend Pre-construction and regular onsite construction meetings
  • Serve as liaison for the client in meetings with other agencies, consultants, contractors, and the general public related to projects as needed
  • Maintain precise project construction documentation
  • Recommend approval of monthly contractor pay estimates
  • Monitor traffic control and protection
  • Coordinate and monitor materials testing
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Five years construction engineering experience
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer’s license in the State of Illinois
  • The ability to communicate effectively and constructively with clients and contractors
  • IDOT certification in documentation
  • Experience with IDOT standards, specifications, and contract management
  • Survey experience
