Relief Sewer Improvement Project, CDWM
OMEGA was chosen by the Chicago Department of Water Management to perform construction management services for installation of new sewer main and sewer structures of this relief sewer improvement project. The improvement begins at Neva Avenue and runs east to Nashville Avenue.
The project consisted of approximately 4,900 linear feet of 36 inch to 72 inch diameter sewer pipe installation, a cast-in-place sewer junction structure, Type-A, Type-B, modified Type-B and modified Type-C drop manholes, and catch basins. The construction also included cutting, capping and replacing 8 inch water main and constructing three Type II supports for the existing 30 inch diameter water main. A total of 73 new ADA ramps were installed along with 8” base course, 1-1/2” pavement grinding, 2-1/4” HMA Binder Course, and 1-1/2” HMA Surface Course.
