

Project Scope
The work involved included:
- Installation of 1.3 miles of Nicor’s high pressure gas main
- Removal of the newly abandoned gas main
- Extension of casing pipes to protect multiple oil pipelines throughout 135th Street
- Relocation and removal of AT&T’s existing aerial telephone and fiber optic facilities reconstruction and widening of 1.7 miles of roadway along 135th Street, as well as, side streets and driveways
The second phase of this project consisted of the reconstruction and widening of 1.7 miles of roadway along 135th Street, as well as, side streets and driveways. The work involved in this project consisted of the installation of storm sewers, mass grading, retaining wall construction, traffic signal optimization, and construction of a five lane county highway.
Awards: 2019 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) – Illinois section Engineering Excellence Award.
