OMEGA provided construction engineering services to the Illinois Department of Transportation on this $100 million project to reconstruct and widen a three-mile portion of Route 59 to three lanes in each direction. The project included widening and resurfacing of Illinois Route 59 and side streets, as well as advance mainline work and interchange reconstruction.

Project Scope

The project included the reconfiguration of the existing typical diamond interchange at I-88 into a Diverging Diamond Interchange, the first interchange of its kind in northeastern Illinois. As well as removing and replacing the Illinois Route 59 bridge over the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) interchange with two new independent bridge structures.
